Safety And Security

Hutchison Ports Pakistan has developed a Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) Policy and a management system based on the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) code. These policies have been devised according to national and international maritime organizations’ regulations as well as industry standards.

The scope of HSSE policy is global and concerns maritime operations, cargo related risks, terminals, intermodal activities, and offices. The policy covers pro-active actions, constant monitoring and good-practice applications.

HSSE OBJECTIVES:

  1. Ensure a high level of conformity, zero detention and high performance scoring
  2. Ensure a high level of emergency preparedness and response to major events
  3. Reduce maritime accidents, ensure zero fatalities and bring about a safety-conscious culture
  4. Prevent cargo-related risks (hazardous, sensitivities)
  5. Enforce Terminals and Shore Security Policy
